Sea Eagle 14sr Inflatable Boat Reviews

We have had this exact model of boat for 8 years now. I have 3 of them…..my own fleet! They are the honey badger of boats! They are super fun, comfortable, require zero maintence and are the most fun / $ of any water craft. For around $5,000 you can have a boat and motor, and be out in the tater in 60 minutes from opening the box. They draw nothing, so you can short cut over sand bars and with the right 2 man crew, you can surf waves on them! No kidding. One of the best features is the engine off drift. The boat becomes a private, quiet, dry tube ride. Add a few beers and an afternoon can melt away with your wife of good friend. I will always have at least two in my life. There is no better way to get to shallow beaches….just pull it up and leave it….no anchors or hassle.
Ran into a manufacturing warranty issue 2 years into my boat. They sent me a new one. What more can I say. They even let me pay the difference and get a bigger one. Wouldn't think twice about buying from them again.
love this boat holds every one and everything i need while boating handles great
Boat is beautiful. Wonder if the motor mount can hold engine. I talked to the lady on Sea Eagle Phone Line. She says there has never been a complain of motor falling down or motor mount breaking off. Seems a strong mount but its not stainless steal or Iron. Certainly no one can remove and reinstall 25HP 130 pounds engine for every adventure. Please give your opinion. In the past I used Sea Eagle small boat and was a wonderful experience.
I live in a condo and the sr14 has worked out great ..
Very Pleased with the 14sr I am using it on a river that is often shallow .I have not had any issues at all. I have purchased an additional seat for the bow & also mounted navigational lights really enjoying it with my Grandson fishing. I have a question about leaving it inflated over the winter I have it on a flat trailer will this cause any issues?
George,
We're glad to hear that you're enjoying your Sea Eagle! Leaving it inflated on the trailer should be fine, but leaving the boat unattended outdoors could be an issue. We recommend storing the boat in a cool, dry area. If storing inflated, please be sure to check the pressure each time before use.
So much fun with our boat! This is our 1st experience living on a lake and having a boat. We love it! The only thing I would have done differently is get the electric motor. Can't wait for spring!
I would definitely buy this boat again. The main reason I own this boat is because I live in a condo and boat storage is expensive in fort lauderdale. It is very easy to store and transport. It also is a very stable and safe boating platform if piloted responsibly. It launches easily using launch wheels from places you would never be able to launch with a trailer.
Bought the boat over 10 years ago - I needed an inflatable for low clearance on reefs outside of my house in the Gulf Islands of BC.
The boat is kept in the open year round and for most of the year it simply sits on the rocky beach as per the photo. I must admit that this is the second (even third) engine but the boat itself has not needed any major repairs or maintenance apart from an annual scrub down to remove winter debris. More than once, large driftwood logs have floated over the boat and then submerged the craft completely, all with no major impact. The beach that the craft sits on is sharp sandstone rocks with many oyster shells .
